Pioneering Renaissance Metal, George ShredKing Engelbrecht was born in South Africa, October 25th, 1985.
He currently resides in Vredenburg where most of his time is invested into the development of a virtuoso guitarist and he is also the owner of a highly successful guitar teaching business.
George is currently in the process of composing his debut instrumental album.
George is a current student of master musician, guitar teacher trainer and mentor, Tom Hess.
George is a member of the Music Careers Mentoring Program, has studied under master guitarist, George Bellas and has attended a master class hosted by Tom Hess and Fabio Lione (Rhapsody of Fire vocalist). George has also studied music composition under Zack Uidl, a Chicago based musician and has had picking consultations with Rusty Cooley, hailed by many guitar magazines as one of the top shredders of all time.
He has also made it into the final round of a guitar contest as hosted by the Tom Hess Music Corporation. Additionally, George has also worked with 7de Laan actress, Corne Crous and has opened for SA Idols finalist, Mr. Mark Haze. George was one of the attendees at the 6 day intensive guitar workshop overseen by expert guitarists such as Tom Hess, Mike Walsh and Mike Philippov.
