Josip Pesut

Josip Pešut is a guitarist, composer, songwriter and arranger from Zagreb, Croatia.

Having always loved music, Josip began playing guitar during his teen years.  

Besides diverse musical influences (Nobuo Uematsu, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Yngwie Malmsteen, Death, Pantera, Mudvayne...), his personal life experiences also influenced Josip's musical direction.  

Josip is currently working on his debut solo CD. The album is based on musical themes of destruction and creation, and the struggle to remain in the balance between both.

Besides Josip on lead and rhythm guitars, the album will feature an outstanding bassist Tomislav Lacković, a drum veteran Nenad Borić and a radiant keboardist Tomo Bačurin. Tomo is also a producer of the album.

Josip is also actively building partnerships with many musicians, locally and worldwide. He gets music career mentoring from well established virtuoso guitarist and music career mentor Tom Hess.  Josip's song 'Our Feeling' will be released in the compilation of Croatian solo guitarists. He also performed on a compilation 'Rise of the Fliers', which features ten talented musicians from all over the world. 

Josip says: "Truth is what we all strive for. Sometimes on a physical, and sometimes on spiritual or emotional level. Truth bears weight and liberation. I savor every bit of incessant motion to a musical reflection of all my experiences: emotional, physical and spiritual. Therefore, the most sincere symbols of truth I can give you are my own songs."
