Question: The examples on the CD are a little fast for me - so sometimes I work with my metronome, in order to "get it". Is this a problem? (I usually go back from time to time to the CD - to check myself)
Answer: No, this is not a problem and working with Your metronome is a very good idea until You get the speed up! So You are on the right track now, yes.
Question: I don't count in my head. Sometimes I only count at slow tempos to get the feel for how it should sound and where the accents need to fall. At faster tempos, I usually prefer to "feel" when to play (or not play). Is this a good way or should I really try to count in my head?
Answer: As long as You can play it right and keep track of what You are doing, then You are fine.

Question: My right wrist hurts when I do long sessions - it gets tired, and I feel a little pain sometimes. Most of the time, I change my position, but the pain always comes back...
Answer: NEVER NEVER play in pain! If You need to rest, then rest! You can cause permanent damage from playing in pain and not resting.

4. Left hand
Question: Well, I've changed my left hand position to put my thumb perpendicular and in the center of the neck. It's really cool to be able to play stretches such as 3-5-7, but my wrist suffers from this. Any advice?
Answer: Yes, rest when You need to and don't bend Your wrist too far see video on my site for good hand position.
