Guitar Playing Breakthrough Specialist Wizard Tom Hess pulls out of his beard a 400-year-old musical secret that makes it insanely easy to create melodic lead guitar ideas in ANY style and …

Sound Like No One Else* When You Solo!

(*Except for maybe the 1% of champion guitar players who also know the method below. ๐Ÿ‘‡)

Hey, Tom Hess here.

Aka: the teacher of teachers who trains music school owners how to teach ‘their’ students to play lead guitar.

(If - for some reason - you got on this page without knowing that, ๐Ÿ‘† please: 1. Stop reading. 2. Go listen to some of my students’ guitar solos here, here, here, here and here, 3. Come back here and we’ll continue.)

And on this page…

I want to teach you a new way to write guitar solos (as in: I’ve not taught this in ANY of my other guitar soloing courses), that:

  • Makes your guitar soloing (and improvising) sound more pro even if you don't have great phrasing yet

  • Helps even your long solos (and improvisations) sound interesting from start to finish, even if you don’t know a lot of guitar licks. (So, if your band suddenly goes on a Freebird-like jam frenzy and the pressure is on you to solo for way longer than you expected - you can hold up like a champ.)

  • Gives your solos a sound that’s A. unmistakably yours and B. different from 99% of other people’s guitar solos. (Because, as you’ll see below, ๐Ÿ‘‡ 99% of guitar players don’t write guitar solos this way.)

Best of all…

You can learn this method in about 1 hour (and start using it to play better guitar solos TODAY) after going through my new course:

Cool Guitar Solos Unleashed - The Master Plan For Creating Your Own Awesome Guitar Solos

Cool Guitar Solos Unleashed

Let me explain:

The reason I say this guitar soloing method “makes your solos sound different from 99% of other people’s guitar solos” is because:

99% of guitar solos (including the very BEST and most famous solos of all time) all follow a very similar structure:

A solo begins with a cool lick… connected to another cool new lick… with another new lick stacked on top of the first 2 … with more licks added on top, until the end.

With this method:

Each Guitar Lick Is Like A Condom… Used Once And Immediately Discarded.

(Go on, think of ANY 10 guitar solos. Lemme guess… they ALL follow that ๐Ÿ‘†exact structure, don’t they? I rest my case.)

And sure… when Jimmy Page, SRV, EVH, Gary Moore, Yngwie, Steve Vai, Paul Gilbert, John Petrucci or Guthrie Govan write (or wrote) guitar solos this way, they sound totally awesome.

Problem is:

To ‘make’ this structure sound great when YOU solo, you have to be pretty advanced at:

  • Coming up with cool licks at the snap of your fingers to fill out the length of your guitar solo…

  • Recalling guitar licks you know on command while you’re improvising (and trying to keep up with chord changes).

  • Having each lick build seamlessly upon the previous one - holding your listener’s attention all the way through.

  • Making that concoction of guitar licks sound melodic and lyrical (even while playing fast).

So, if you’re not there yet…

Don’t be surprised if you’re finding it hard to (consistently) write guitar solos you’re happy with and having your improvisations NOT devolve into noodling.

(Plus, it’s kinda hard to be creative (let alone - sound original) if you write guitar solos using the same method as almost everyone else, agreed?)

That’s why, I think every guitar player ought to also know:

FAST And EASY Ways To Write Fun Guitar Solos Most Guitarists Are NOT Using.

Which brings us to Cool Guitar Solos Unleashed - The Master Plan For Creating Your Own Awesome Guitar Solos, where I want to teach you one of such methods.

It’s based on a 400-year-old music composition technique I learned at university years ago that has been used to write almost every catchy, stuck-in-your-head pop song you’ve ever heard.

And this ๐Ÿ‘†means 3 very good things for you:

  • You don’t need advanced musical skills (or be a musical idea generation machine) to use this method. (I mean, pop songs aren’t exactly the pinnacle of musical complexity, are they?)...

  • It’s proven to create music millions of people eagerly pay money to listen to. (The songs written with this method have earned billions of dollars throughout music history… and if that’s not ‘proof of concept’, I don’t know what is.)

But best of all - and this is what makes this idea a bona-fide ‘secret’ for lead guitar players

You’ll Almost Never Hear Guitar Solos Written With This Method.

Which… is every bit as odd (I mean, a solo is supposed to be a ‘song within a song’, right?), as it is...

a massive opportunity to crank out cool, original and super melodic guitar solos FAST. Very fast.

(If you’re my guitar student, or a member of EGTIC or MCMP, you already know how much gold there is in taking proven ideas from one context and applying them in another. Well, using this songwriting idea to write guitar solos is a perfect example of this philosophy.)

So…

Here is what’s waiting for you inside Cool Guitar Solos Unleashed - The Master Plan For Creating Your Own Awesome Guitar Solos:

  1. A quickie crash course on the '400-year-old music composition technique’ and how to use it to map out (within seconds!) entire guitar solos or improvisations, without playing a single note.

(Psst! If you’re a smart, ambitious and incredibly good-looking guitar player who owns my other course: Blueprints For Creating Your Own Awesome Guitar Solos, you might think this is similar to the ‘thinking like a sculptor’ idea I teach there. IT. IS. NOT. โŒThis is a completely different way to outline a solo that squeezes completely different-sounding guitar solo ideas out of your guitar. So, if you pass on this course thinking “it’s the same as what you already know”… you’ll forever have one less arrow in your guitar soloing quiver than those who do buy it. Feel free to not believe me, but don’t say I didn’t warn ya. ๐Ÿคท)

  2. Steps to flesh out your outline into a finished guitar solo you’re happy with and stretch your guitar solo pretty much as long as you want, without it getting boring.

    As well as:

  3. A note-by-note and lick-by-lick breakdown of a full-length guitar solo I wrote using this technique - packed to the gills with insights that level up every aspect of your lead guitar playing, such as:

    • A simple trick for writing guitar solos and lead guitar melodies even non-musicians enjoy… even if your solos are ripping fast! (10:47)

    • The best way to begin any improvised guitar solo and make it way more likely you’ll improvise something you’re happy with. (14:05)

    • How to “beef up” a lead guitar melody to give it a thicker - almost riff-like - texture without using vibrato or slides. (1:08:30)

    • A backing track ‘cheat code’ that makes it easier to be creative when you solo (15:18)

    • Improvising at a fast tempo? Do this to the chords you play over to give yourself more time to think of what to play next. (18:56)

    • How to keep your solos interesting when playing over very slow chord changes. (24:31)

    • What NEVER to do when trading off solos with a pro-level player. (35:28)

    • An “off-topic” bonus tip for how to make double stop vibrato sound great without “losing” one of the notes or having it sound awkwardly out of time. (Unrelated to writing guitar solos, but if you like Def Leppard, Poison and other 80s hair metal bands, you’ll find this quite handy.) See 42:33

    • One of my favorite songwriting tricks you can use to create backing tracks that keep your listeners’ attention focused on your guitar solo, even if they try to tune out.  (17:50)

    • A crucial lead guitar skill to work on (no, NOT vibrato or anything phrasing-related) that helps you save face and sound pro even while making a ton of mistakes in your playing. (44:34)

And a lot more, such as:

    • Lead guitar tricks for surprising your listeners (by playing on their expectations) that add drama and passion to your guitar solos (47:48)

    • An “oddball” way to add musical tension on a chord change, using just 1 note… much easier than playing fast, but can be just as emotional. (50:41)

    • Newbie-friendly examples of “advanced” lead guitar soloing techniques, such as: call and response, motivic development and motive inversion. (58:27)

    • The best place to put a climax in the guitar solos you write with the “Guitar Solos Unleashed” method. (It’s NOT where you would put it in a typical solo where you stack licks on top of each other.) 1:01:27

    • Easy guitar technique tips for making fast backslides sound better. (1:06:15)

    • How to easily stay in key when soloing (or improvising) over complicated chord progressions if you’re new to lead guitar (1:18-1:19)

… and a whoooole lot more goodies that make it incredibly easy to…

Write Guitar Solos So Melodic - They Might Give People Earworms For Days!

Seriously, you’ll be surprised how much content I managed to cram into just one hour.

And speaking of “just one hour”, I should probably give a word of warning:

Do NOT buy this course if you measure value in “hours of content”.

This is NOT a long course… and that is by design.

If you’re a student of mine or you simply enjoy my content on YouTube, it’s taught in the same style you’ve come to know and expect from me.

I get to the point fast, install new skills into your playing and send you on your way - playing better than before. (This doesn’t take a lot of time when you know what you’re doing… as I do.)

Still, if you must have “a lot of content” to keep yourself entertained, please pass on this and save your money.

Especially since this course is not only short, but it’s also not exactly cheap, as it is priced at:

$197

Which… could feel like a horrible deal if you can’t stomach the thought of paying this much for “a mere hour of pre-recorded content”, no matter how valuable said hour could be for your guitar playing.

Or, it could be an awesome deal if you:

1. Believe in my ability to deliver the goods

2. Don’t have a lot of time to waste and

3. Like the idea of being able to:

Common Questions:

How advanced of a guitar player must you be to use “Cool Guitar Solos Unleashed - The Master Plan For Creating Your Own Awesome Guitar Solos”?

Answer:

If you have at least some idea of how to solo over the chords: Am F Em G using an A minor pentatonic scale, you’re advanced enough to understand (and immediately use) everything in this course.

At the same time, the core ideas I’m teaching are very likely to be new to you even if you’re a pro. So, even if you’re already generally happy with your guitar solos, you’ll pick up a ton of new tricks to level-up your lead playing.

Will this teach me everything I need to know about lead guitar playing?

Answer:

No. Even as good of a teacher as I am, there is a limit to what I can teach you in 1 hour. :)

You should still take guitar lessons to learn all the ins and outs of general guitar technique, phrasing, fretboard knowledge, music theory, rhythm playing and ear training. (I can teach you those things in Breakthrough Guitar Lessons.)

Should I buy this if I’m a Breakthrough Guitar Lessons student?

Answer:

If you can comfortably afford it, then yes.

This course is a fun ‘power up side quest’ that connects perfectly with everything I’m teaching you in your personalized guitar lessons and gives you new ways to apply and integrate your skills.

In fact, one of the reasons it is so short is to help you blitz through it without making you overwhelmed or causing you to fall behind on your lessons.

That said…

Don’t buy it if you have to choose between this course and continuing lessons.

Save up a few bucks a month until you can afford it without losing sleep over the money.

Should I buy this if I have the “Blueprints For Creating Your Own Awesome Guitar Solos” course?

Yes, there is no overlap between the 2. And if you enjoyed one, you will enjoy (and get even more out of) the other.
