9 Borderline Unbelievable Guitar Teaching Success Stories

by Tom Hess

I don’t think I ever shared the 9 short guitar teaching stories below with the general public when talking about the Elite Guitar Teachers Inner Circle.

Because... well... there is no good way to tell them without looking like a lunatic at best or an outright liar at worst.

They are so extreme, it’s almost impossible to believe I didn’t just make them all up.

But hand on my beard – they are all true.

So, just for fun, I thought I’d share them with you.

Here we go:

1. One of the multiple 6-figure earning guitar teachers in the program got to that level teaching guitar to just 40 students.

2. Another guitar teacher got 100 students (not “people calling to ask about lessons” – actual paying STUDENTS) in 1 month.

3. The youngest 6-figure guitar teaching member to date was only 22 when he hit that milestone (he has since joined the multiple 6-figure guitar teaching club).

4. One of the multiple 6-figure EGTIC members got there in a town of just 15,000 people.

5. The highest-earning EGTIC member (who, admittedly, was already earning 6-figures teaching guitar before he started with me and has since surpassed 7-figures) has kept many of his students studying with him for over 20 years. His longest has been with him for a jaw-dropping 31+ years. (This is longer than anything even I’ve been able to achieve teaching guitar – online or offline.)

If you wonder how he achieved such amazing results as a guitar teacher...

He became really good at pre-empting the 5 common reasons guitar students quit...

And he ran his guitar teaching business based on the key principles of student retention that motivate students to stay for years.

Why Guitar Students Quit

6. One of the top EGTIC members joined the program while so broke – he was paying his rent with a credit card. He spent the first winter of EGTIC eating once per day, figuring out all the ins and outs of what it meant to ‘teach guitar’, not being able to afford to pay for heat. (He has since become the 2nd youngest member of the 6-figure guitar teaching club.)

7. One EGTIC member (who used to teach guitar for years before joining the program) now pays more in taxes than his whole guitar teaching income used to be.

8. Despite my (many) warnings, one EGTIC member got to 6-figures teaching guitar only in private lessons. He then complained about being overworked and burnt-out (go figure) and had to change his entire guitar teaching business model with 80 students. Not fun. Good news is: the guy has since gotten to multiple 6-figures (teaching guitar a fraction of the hours he used to).

9. One EGTIC member (who has been with me since I started the program) joined with only 4 students. Today, his school has 4 locations and he employs 14 teachers.

There you have it.

Now, obviously:

I can’t take credit for these teachers’ results. THEY did all the work. I just laid out the path and trained them along the way.

So...

I make no guarantees that you’ll get similar results (or any results at all) if you join EGTIC.

But if you’re ambitious, coachable and have a solid work ethic, I can train you exactly the same way I trained them.

And if you struggle to attract guitar students right now, I can help you with that in this article on how to attract more guitar students
