How To Help Your Guitar Students To Practice More Effectively When You Teach Guitar

Your guitar students improve faster when you point out inefficiencies in their practice habits that slow down their progress (even if their have guitar lessons with the best teacher). This is part of your role when you teach guitar.

Many guitar students practice inefficiently because they don’t isolate their specific guitar playing challenges clearly enough. (And you haven't taught them how in their guitar lessons.) This creates 2 guitar playing problems for your guitar students when they practice at home (outside of your guitar lessons):

Your guitar students waste a lot of time repeating parts of their guitar lessons they can already play well. The specific guitar playing problem they need to address gets little practice. This makes your guitar students improve slowly, even though they are taking guitar lessons from you.
