One of the biggest and most common guitar teaching mistakes is going to your students’ homes to teach. Here’s why this mistake wastes your time and money as a guitar teacher:

Offering to teach away from your home/studio attracts less serious students that aren’t willing to do something as simple as drive to you to get the results they want. These types of students are a lot more likely to quit lessons after a short time. When this happens, you make less money and your students don't become great players.

You lose time driving to students’ homes. This costs you extra gas money... but more importantly, it takes up a lot of time. This takes up time you could be using to teach more students (which costs you a LOT of money).

You don't have access to all of your equipment, so you aren’t able to help your students by recording them or by demonstrating things with different instruments/musical samples.
Solution: Have a strict teaching policy of only teaching guitar students from your location (no exceptions).
