Attending the guitar teaching super summit event was really cool, because one: my wife came with me and she’s involved in the business and so it was good because we both were able to kind of put everything together and any holes that we had in our business or things that we’d overlooked or things that we had questions on, we were able to get fixed right away.
And a lot of it we actually got done here in the hotel, and I haven’t even got home yet… and we’ve already got a bunch of stuff done and ready to go, so that when we get home things are ready to go. Our employees have been notified of all the big changes that are coming up and how everything is going to be so much better, but really the big thing is, since we’ve been here the whole plan of how we’re going to get from where we are now to where we’re making 7-figures or 8-figures is like crystal clear now. It’s going to be super easy for us.
It was a lot of fun being around the other 6-figure earners, cause we had a lot of fun trading ideas and talking about what other people have tested in their businesses… what has worked for them… what hasn’t worked for them… what mistakes to avoid... And the higher up that we went up the ladder with you know, people like Kevin Downing who’s just unreal… it was really awesome to sit and hear a lot of these next level ideas and ways to be thinking and how to approach things. So it was awesome to be able to help each other out and really point that out because all of a sudden instead of it just being me at home and my wife with me working on the business and we’re doing it... all of sudden we had this big team. And a team of people who had tested things and had tried things and found what works. And so it’s a lot better when you have a bunch of people around you who are passionate and doing the same thing as you… and so that made it… that was cool. Just that alone was worth the event.

The Guitar Teaching Super Summit - I haven’t had time to implement anything yet, but I can see there’s a lot of stuff that’s not only going to benefit me but my students as well. And obviously it's going to benefit me financially, but it’s going to benefit the students I believe more than me. Which ultimately comes back to me anyway but yeah, it’s hard to explain in some ways but the whole thing that I’ve learned here is that all of my school back in New Zealand is going to benefit immensely.
One of the biggest things that I think about the Guitar Teaching Super Summit is that you’re within the like minds of other people that are doing the same thing. So there’s people here that are running big schools in their cities and because I’m sort of like the only big fish I suppose you could say in my little market, and then I get together with all the other big fishes from around the world, and all of a sudden we get this synergy, that never would happen otherwise. And it’s an uncanny sort of feeling in some ways because I know when I go back home, I’m going to be by myself again. So it’s sort of you know, it’s just an awesome feeling being here with so many great minds. And we’re all sort of expanding each other’s’ mindsets. And we’re going to go away from this with so many new ideas that can increase our turnovers in our school, it’ll increase retention rates for our school. But it’ll also increase retention rates for the students because they’ll be so fired up because I come back fired up. So it’s sort of a trickle-down effect.
I’ll definitely come to the Guitar Teaching Super Summit again in the future. I can see that it’s going to have to go on my regular calendar because what I’ve got out of this one is just really… there’s no words for it really… it’s just blown me away. It’s blown me away with all that’s going on. It’s not just the content that we get and things we discuss, but it’s the whole community that’s been created. You know, when you get a community that’s sort of all working together for a common goal… the results that come out of it just go through the roof. I can see this is happening. You can feel it. You can just feel it happening.

I was never on the fence about being able to make a living out of guitar teaching. And I knew with Tom Hess’s training I’d be able to do it. And at the Guitar Teaching Super Summit International... I’ve been able to fill in a lot of the gaps that I knew that we definitely had learned in the EGTIC, but I just hadn’t quite implemented and I need that real ass-kicking.
The first thing that I’m going to be implementing immediately is the marketing aspect of my business. That’s something that’s definitely been a weak point for me... and one reason why I haven’t reached the potential I know that I can achieve. To see that other students of Tom Hess, other guitar teachers that are in the same profession as I am, to see their success, just motivates me even further. Hey, I can do this. You know, anybody can do this, they just need to follow Tom Hess’s advice. Use the information we’ve learned here at the Guitar Teaching Super Summit and go out there in the world and just dominate.
I’m certainly looking forward to the next time that there’s a Guitar Teaching Super Summit. I’d love to see more information, what Tom Hess has in store, more of his strategies and ideas for my business and for my teaching.

My business and my teaching has improved from the guitar teaching super summit in many many ways. I can improve my website here which will get me more conversions and more leads. I will have of course again more conversions, more students. Improving retention with better teaching techniques and skills that I did not have before. It is very inspiring to be around Tom Hess’s other students who already earn you know 6-figures or more... multi-six figures. And it’s cool to see what they’re doing and it also makes it a lot easier to see yourself in that position because many of them started off with either 0 students or a very low count of students and worked their way up with this program. So it’s very nice to be around that type of reminder almost.

Although I’m glad that I didn’t. The opportunity to be around 6-figure earning teachers... and multiple 6-figure earning teachers... or even 5-figure earners that are farther along than I am, which is basically all of them at this point... is definitely one of the many very strong facets of the Elite Guitar Teaching Inner Circle. I like to be coached most by Tom Hess for the insight that he has into the teaching business... The fact that he is successful and teachers who also work with him are very successful, are one part of it. But interacting with the other teachers here has been incredible. It’s been probably - I can’t say one’s better than the other - but man they are both pretty close... it’s but very valuable to me.
When I got here on Monday night, I was already inspired by being with the other teachers and since then it’s just grown.
