Engrida Mebrahtu

Engrida started his guitar journey at the late age of 19 and taught himself how to play by listening to any and every genre of music that sounded good to him, regardless of whether it related to guitar. Lead instrumental guitar is Engrida's true passion and his playing is often very melodic, but doesn't neglect the technical and some unusual techniques to create interesting sounds.

Some influences, including Joe Satriani, Neil Zaza, Eric Johnson, Andy Timmons, Steve Vai, Guthrie Govan, Andy James, Steffen Schackinger, Kiko Loureiro, John Petrucci and Paul Gilbert can be heard in his playing.

He loves all instrumental guitar and hopes the genre will grab hold of more people, as it grabbed hold of him.

In between learning, experimenting and attending university, Engrida can be found uploading videos to his Youtube channel. Engrida is currently taking electric guitar lessons through correspondence with Tom Hess, so that he can reach his musical/technical goals and one day release a solo album that he is proud of.
