Memories

Byron started playing guitar at the age of 13 and was heavily influenced by bands like Motley Crue, Poison, and Bon Jovi as well as guitar players such as Paul Gilbert, Yngwie Malmsteen, Eddie Van Halen and George Lynch. Two of the most important guitarists who helped to shape his guitar style are Vinnie Moore and Eric Johnson.

Over the next several years, Byron's musical focus started to slowly drift away from heavy, guitar-oriented music and more towards soul and funk. He became inspired by musical artists such as Lenny Kravitz, Prince, James Brown, George Clinton and Rick James. As these musicians began to influence him, Byron started moving away from playing standard power chords, focusing on adding jazzier extensions into his guitar playing style.

Right now Byron is a member of the local band Soundtrack to Monday.  He also had the opportunity to play with several celebrities in his local area such as Josh Logan and Bren Scott.
