The Ultimate Creativity And Guitar Soloing Mastery Training Week... it’s been awesome...
I didn’t know what to expect, but it opened totally my mind to different things, a different view, something I would never think about it, approaches I would never think about it. All ways to be creative that I would never think about... So it literally opened the view for the future, for my future as a guitarist... I’m very grateful to be here, surrounded by like-minded people and by a person like Tom Hess. So I’m very happy about it. I’m inspired to see other guitarists with different genres playing and training all together. It’s awesome.

By attending Ultimate Creativity And Guitar Soloing Mastery Training Week, my guitar playing has improved a lot.
Mostly in like phrasing and being able to express the emotions I want to express through the guitar because that’s the ultimate goal of like guitar playing for me at least.
... It’s really inspiring to be around all the other crazy good students that have different ideas and different approaches for how to approach a certain topic. And it’s very like cool to see when someone plays either better or just a beginner who is trying his bets just to become good, that’s inspiring to me.
And the thing I love about Ultimate Creativity And Guitar Soloing Mastery Training Week is we all sit in a room and there’s this great energy of like everybody learning at the same time. It’s okay to make mistakes and it’s very inspiring.
If I could sign up for the Ultimate Creativity And Guitar Soloing Mastery Training Week now I would...

From attending the ultimate creativity and guitar solo mastery training week my playing has improved tenfold.
When I first heard about the ultimate creativity and guitar solo mastery training week, I knew it was going to be great because I’ve come to it before the first year that Tom Hess Music Corporation ran it. And it completely changed my guitar playing. It filled in the gaps that I knew that I had, and some that I didn’t even know existed. And every year when Tom Hess Music Corporation creates new events or does old events that they’ve done before, they get better and better.
...My understanding of the fretboard, understanding the modes, the arpeggios and how they work theoretically, as well as being able to play them on guitar and solo with them and make some music versus just going up and down the scales and doing basically sounding like most guitar players, where they can only play the basic scales the basic ways, and so it has completely just revolutionized how I play and how I think of the guitar and music in general. So, it’s been great.
Preston Howard, Salt Lake City, Utah
I knew that creativity training week was going to be awesome because I attended the same event a couple of years back. And when I went into that event, that was the first event that I attended and it was just mind-blowing.
I really enjoyed myself at that event and I really felt like I took a huge leap forward in my own guitar playing. And I know Tom Hess since many years back, and I always know that he over-delivers at every single event and every single product that he does. So, for me, it was, it was a no-brainer to come to the event

When I first heard about the Ultimate Creativity And Guitar Soloing Mastery Training Week, I want to expand my guitar playing ability, I wanted to take it to another level.
Then I talked to my current guitar instructor, who actually is an instructor under Tom Hess... talking with him and what this event was all about, cause he had attended similar events in the past, I felt it could really help me improve my guitar playing. And it definitely has.
I found that the people that Tom Hess surrounds himself with are very, have high abilities to train other people guitar. They're very friendly and willing to share their knowledge. Tom Hess is a very personable person and talking with him, I've had that opportunity too. He’s willing to share his knowledge and skills and that’s why I like, and have enjoyed learning from Tom Hess.
I like the deep dive sessions we have in the training where we go into different aspects of guitar playing like arpeggiating the notes, how to get out of your head, get out of your head into the guitar, that breakout session to me was really interesting, and how to take a guitar lick and really show emotion with it… I didn’t realize how much emotion you could get out of a guitar until this event.
I can take what I’ve learned at the ultimate guitar creativity and guitar soloing mastery training week and really expand my guitar playing. I’ve been playing about 2 and a half years. And I just learned a tremendous amount here at this event.
Donald Donovan, Plymouth, Massachusetts
When I first heard about the Ultimate Creativity And Guitar Soloing Mastery Training Week event, I decided to invest in it because I knew that it was going to be awesome. Why? Because I’ve been to other events that Tom Hess and THMC have held and they were awesome.
This event is one of the, one of the areas that guitar players struggle with the most. Creativity is one of the things that people think, just doesn’t happen. It’s something that you have to have… you know, be born with. So, coming to something like this, I knew would help me just become so much more creative. And help me learn how to do it for myself, as well as people that I teach. So, that’s why I did it.
I learned a huge amount of things that I didn’t even know about creativity, but soloing first of all. The next thing is I was then shown exactly how to apply it and how to learn it, so that I can now do it at home and just continue to get better. So, I definitely improved while I was here... My ability to... solo and be creative immediately expanded just from the sessions here. And I know that as I go home and I continue to apply the very specific processes and information that I was given, and I was shown how to do that at home, I know that that will continue to improve when I get home.
I’ve received massive value from this event already. Creativity is one of those things that just doesn’t… you just don't get it and all of a sudden you know everything. And it’s one of those things that you have to develop over time. So, I learned a lot this week and I’m going to go home and practice and get better. But I’m always going to want to get better than I am now. And whatever level I’m at when this event happens again, I’ll still not know everything about creativity, I still won’t be able to apply everything. And there’s things that I’m sure Tom Hess has up his sleeve that he’ll share then that I still don't know. I mean there’s so much more that can be done with this event, as far as me learning that, I mean, I’ll be back. I just want to get my skills as high as I can, and this is part of that.
Maurice Richard, Halifax, Canada
I knew the event was going to be awesome due to the fact that it was 6 days, 10 hours guitar playing a day, with 5 world-class trainers. Now that I’ve completed the event, my guitar playing has become fivefold better than what it was when I came here to begin with.
I've never experienced such freedom in creativity after completing the event. My skills just playing that long for a day has made it all worth while. The valuable information I’ve got in terms of creativity for my own playing is priceless.
The inspiration is also invaluable. I mean, you can’t… it’s hard to buy the experience of having all of those, all of those people around you who all want to succeed in the same depth that you do. You know, the probability and the logistics of trying to do that on your own would be phenomenal, so the fact that Tom Hess is able to bring everyone together. The environment is bliss. You know, it’s one of the best communities I think I’ve ever been involved in, in terms of guitar playing. I made some excellent friends here, some jamming buddies for life. You know, and even though we come from different parts of the world, we can still keep in touch and we can still trade progress and tips and tricks that we pick up and you know… Yeah that real sense of community I think is what really strengthens, not only the content and the attention you get from Tom Hess and his world-class trainers, should they be involved as well but the community of people who are hungry to learn and succeed on guitar like you are or like I am. Yeah, it’s an invaluable part, aspect of the event as well.
Hell yeah, I’d definitely come to it again in the future. For the simple fact that what I’ve managed to learn now at this point in my guitar playing, I can only imagine that further down the track, as I become a better guitar player that all of this stuff will apply at a much higher level. And the more that I compound that playing progress and the learning at those point in time, or points in time, it just you know the value of it is astronomical.
Simon Edgell, Melbourne, Australia
Tom Hess events never disappoint, they over-deliver. So, when I was offered the ticket or the chance to buy the ticket for the ultimate creativity and guitar soloing mastery, again it was a no-brainer, it was just click buy.
I didn’t even read the sales page, I know, you know if you do it’s very powerful and people may think oh it’s exaggerated, he can’t do all that and the fact is he can. So you know from past experience that Tom Hess events way over-deliver. Way, I mean, I could leave right now and have got all my money’s worth. So, the pre-training was fantastic. You already become a better guitar player just by doing that. And by the time you get here, you know, you’ve got all these ideas and they really flesh those ideas out and train you and train you and train you and really drill it in. So, I have no doubt that when I leave I'm going to be a better guitar player., cause I am already. So, it was just… if you’ve been to one Tom Hess event, you know that they're everything that he promises, and so far this has been everything promised. So, yeah it is a great experience.
Because he is able to cut through things that other guitar teachers would miss or what the student says is their problem, he is able to look and immediately see the problem and give you very practical very easy to implement steps that fix your playing. I've had other guitar teachers and none of them posses that ability. And he is really able to focus, I mean just see things that you would never think to look at. Whether it’s your picking technique, or you know left hand fingering, rhythm whatever it is. He can look at it, and you know you need to do this and do this and do this and that’s going to be better. So, you do those things and it’s better. And when he tells you, you do it and it works. So, that’s why I like training. There's no wasted time. He can immediately identify the problem and immediately fix it, so within 10 minutes you're already better. It’s great. It’s great.
Rhett Cutshaver, College Station, Texas
Going into this event, I feel like one of my biggest struggles was my improvising, and that’s one of the things I was really, really excited about for this event, because I knew that this was geared towards that exact thing and I’m seeing results…. I was seeing results probably within the first day you know…
The thing I really liked about the Ultimate Creativity And Guitar Soloing Mastery Training Week was that it’s not just geared toward being able to play fast things, you know with technical proficiency. It teaches you to use the skills you already have, whether you're a beginner or whether you're already highly advanced and be able to apply it to whatever it is you're playing in your own band’s music, jamming to music that maybe you're not used to playing, being able to use the skills that you have to be able to, you know, solo and improvise confidently, you know, in any musical situation.
I think that is probably one of the most important things as a musician to be able to learn. You know, obviously everyone is going to have their own styles, but it’s great to be able to adapt to different styles so that you can not only progress as a guitar player but you can start to open your mind to how many different things you can do as a guitar player rather than just go on through the same metal songs, the same blues licks all the time, you know, you can start to see how one instrument can be applied to so many different contexts and that’s one of the most valuable things about this event. It helps you understand and actually do that.

My guitar ability has improved astronomically in the short amount of time that I’ve been at the Ultimate Creativity And Guitar Soloing Mastery Training Week.
I’ve been taking a few of Tom Hess’s online correspondence programs and they’ve been absolutely life-changing for me. Huge fan of the programs that he runs and this is my second event. I heard about this event at the previous event and I got so much value for that, that it was a no-brainer to come here.
... I can’t express how much improvement I’ve made in such a short time. It really is mind-blowing. It’s just, I’ve been getting concepts that I never ever think about, and just by thinking about them and changing what I do makes a huge impact on your playing... So my playing has improved drastically and the value that I’ve gotten out of this compared to what I’ve paid is ridiculous. I’m a much better player after this event and I’m thankful to Tom Hess for running it.
... I am going to be coming to every single ultimate creativity and guitar soloing mastering event in the future or ever. I’ve got so much out of this and I know it’s just going to get better from here.
Michael Gumley, Melbourne, Australia
The one thing I am really lacking in my guitar playing is the ability to solo and improvise freely. So I knew that the Ultimate Creativity And Guitar Soloing Training Week was something that I wanted to attend.
The biggest improvement I noticed in one week was just the ability to start expressing myself with different phrasing elements. I was pretty narrow when it came to phrasing. I was basically phrasing the same things, the same way for like 10 years. So, with all the different ideas I got over the training week, I think I really expanded on my phrasing ideas and the ability to express myself. So, I’m really looking forward to the next record with my band to upgrade the solos and everything.
It’s amazing. I will definitely come to ultimate creativity training again in the future.

At first, my parents were really skeptical about it, and I was too because it’s really expensive. But I just know that Tom Hess had such a great reputation and success rate that I just saved up over the year.
And even like signing up alone, just that gave me motivation to step up my game. So even before the pre-training started, like my progress was already skyrocketing because I was motivated to come here.
Honestly... Tom Hess and all the other teachers, they just have this way of explaining things that seem… Well, when they explain it, it just becomes obvious. Like they all have, they all teach in their own way. But the way, their concepts, I never would have thought about if it weren’t for them. And in these past 3 days they’ve opened up so many new doors and opportunities for me to continue learning. And I don't know, honestly just some of the break out courses their own have been like worth my whole paycheck here. It just opened so many avenues and freed my mind on like where I can go with soloing. So it’s been awesome.
Everyone is so nice and down-to-earth here. And it’s really awesome. I thought I was going to come in being really nervous, because I know a lot of guys here are just at such a high level. But everyone is so down-to-earth and nice and just welcoming so it’s been all-around just awesome.

When I first heard about the Ultimate Creativity And Guitar Soloing Mastery Training Week, I knew it was going to be awesome because I've been to other Tom Hess events. So, I knew the quality of the content was going to be high.
I knew the quality of the instructors was going to be very high. I knew that the attention that I would get, would be personal and it would be tailored to me and my needs. And I knew also that I would be hanging out with a whole bunch of other people that were also, again serious about what they're doing, totally into this event as I was. So, just great camaraderie, great instruction, great atmosphere.
... My guitar playing has really improved greatly. I had huge gaps actually in my playing even though I've played a long time. And I consider myself a fairly accomplished guitar player. There were gaps that really, really became apparent just through the pre-training even, when I started to look through the pre-training for this event. I realized right away that I was going to have some challenges and that was great, that’s exactly what I wanted. I wanted to fill in those gaps that I has in my playing.
I don't think there’s a player out there that could not come to this event. I don't care how good they are. If they come here, they're going to find improvement. They’re going to find new ways to think about what they're already doing. They're going to find that the gaps that they have in their playing will be filled in. Their music knowledge will increase. Their guitar knowledge will increase greatly.
Craig Tuttle, Monroe, Wisconsin
Yeah when I first saw the ultimate creativity and solo mastery training week, I didn’t really know what I was getting into to, but I really wanted to go to an event where I could actually like meet Tom Hess and all his other trainers. And I was on my computer you know like, watching the time go down because it runs out quick. So, I was on my computer, got on, made it out here and yeah, it’s been awesome.
Today is for me, day 5 and I can’t even explain how much better of a guitar player I am already, you know. The first 3 days I did the Fretboard Domination Bootcamp and it was awesome because I got to understand things that I've been not really sure of and they just, you know, they just have some way of like giving you the information, the way where you pick it up quick and now I know exactly what I need to practice to improve whatever I’m doing. That was just the fretboard bootcamp. Now we’ve been doing the creativity and solo mastering training week and it’s crazy. I’m a new guitar player. And I've 2 more days to go. And I can’t wait to do it again. I want to do it again. I want to come back.
Yeah, I got to say that coming to this event, I got to be honest I was a little bit nervous. Just because I didn’t really know what to expect and I especially… knowing that I’m not… like the, I mean I know how to play some stuff, but I’m not very advanced, you know so I was afraid of if it was… if I was going to be… if people that are better than me were going to be like oh he’s not that good of a guitar player, but everyone here is so nice it’s insane. Like everyone is here for the same reason so like... First day, you know everyone is talking to each other… there’s something I was wondering about, the partner next to me is like oh yeah, you know it’s like this and you know even I was helping someone at some point and it’s just this like, I don't know just this crowd of people with the same interests helping each other and learning from the greatest so yeah, I don't know what else to say.
Mikkel Bang, Oslo, Norway
My guitar playing has improved in all of the ways that it can. I got blisters, oh well not blisters, but you know my fingers are tender for the first time since I was like 12. My fingers hurt from all the bending and vibratoing I’ve been doing and it’s awesome.
Honestly, there’s so many great players here. You know, you see their pictures on the forum, and it’s like oh I’ve seen that guy’s picture before, and then you see them play like oh man, I just didn’t expect, I should have expected, but I didn’t expect the level of talent to be here and it really just kind of pushed me to up my game and really just work hard. So, I’m going to go back up to my room and I’m going to grind through a bunch of stuff I got from Tom Hess today and some of the other mentors and I’m going to come in tomorrow just a little bit better. Try to get a little bit more of an edge on the guys tomorrow.
I’m a big fan of accountability and it almost sounded like there’s a shared accountability of yeah, it’s my job to do the work, but they're also going to be there pushing me and making sure that I do the work with them the way that they think it should be done. And that’s nice to know. To have someone saying this is how you do it. This is how you get better. Very helpful.
Yeah the stuff that I think is fucking awesome is Tommaso and Mike Walsh, I mean all the guys, Charlie, Mike, they're all awesome, but yeah the trainers I think are really fucking cool.
My only regret with the Ultimate Creativity And Guitar Soloing Mastery Training Week would be that I didn’t buy all the packages. That when I first signed up for it, I thought well this much, that seems like about all I can afford and that seems good for this year… I wish I had done it all. I wish I had just gone for it, but I wasn’t a member of the guitar teachers inner circle at the time. So, the mastermind thing didn’t really seem appropriate to me at the time. How wrong I was. But it was fantastic. I will absolutely be here next year. I’ll be here for all the things. The VIP thing and I’ll be here for 2 and a half weeks or whatever the process is so I’ll be back.
Eric Dieter, Lancaster, Pennsylvania
I knew this event was going to be awesome because every Tom Hess event is awesome. So, I’ve made a personal commitment to attend all of them in the future. Almost without question where they are.
So after attending the Ultimate Creativity And Guitar Soloing Mastery Training Week with Tom Hess, my ability to create phrases has improved a lot, my ornamentation has improved, my knowledge of options with ornamentation has improved vastly. I've been trained by incredible musicians on how to actually implement these ideas into my playing. My note selection has improved. My knowledge of note function has improved. My ability to choose scales over chords has improved. All... every area of my playing has improved. Even my technique has improved, and that wasn’t the purpose of the event.
It’s really inspiring to be around such insane guitar players as I met here. That’s got to be some of the best guitar players in the world. These guys can play like no one’s business. Being around them is awesome. It’s very humbling and keeps me on my toes. Keeps me wanting to push forward… stops me from getting complacent in my own playing. Encourages me to push to push to push to the next level so I can keep up with them and jam with them, and reach their level as well.
Sam Russell, London, United Kingdom
I’ve been in the ultimate creativity and guitar solo week, it’s just been for 2 days now… I already feel great improvement, because you know, basically we practice for 8 hours for 2 days so it’s 16 hours of practice for me.
And every single session was amazing because we had to train concepts that I never trained usually before, and I can see every single one of them can have an impact on many levels of you know creativity. Like improvisation to technique to visualization to music theory knowledge and to ear training… It’s kind of weird that just one single like session could have like all those elements, and the trainers were amazing. I really feel progress already.
Being around the other students of Tom Hess is very inspiring and motivating, because all those guys wait a whole year to come here and they're all about music all about learning, and all those guys are really helpful and positive. And it’s partly because that is like Tom Hess’s philosophy you know. You will not be a student of mine if you are being negative, if your being like very bad mindset, you got to be positive, you got to be like helpful to other people… So, people are like that here. And they are just fun. It’s all about hanging out and music. It’s awesome.
