Marcus is a vocalist, songwriter and guitarist in Firstborn from the Gothenburg area, Sweden. He started out with music in his late teens and he knew that he had finally found what he was meant to do. With a burning desire to become a musician he started researching ways to achieve what he most wanted – to be able to play in bands, write and record music and tour the world.

Within just 2 years – starting out with no musician friends and no teacher Marcus had joined two bands with great musicians, written and recorded an album and one EP. Both releases were well met among various webzines. This was followed up by a music video and shows in the south-west of Scandinavia. Marcus also wrote a song with his band A Hole Inside for a compilation CD with other established artists.

Right now Marcus is focusing on a new debut album with a new band, and is planning a European tour. In the meantime he is working on his solo album and establishing a guitar teaching business.

Marcus is also currently taking online guitar lessons from Tom Hess to grow as a musician and guitar player and is studying the music business in Tom's Music Careers Mentoring Program (MCMP).
