Boston recording artist Lauren Bateman is not only a prolific songwriter and musician, she is also an entrepreneur who left behind her lab coat and goggles for a fulfilling life in music. Retiring from her day job at the age of 27, Lauren is no stranger to the Boston music scene.
Lauren’s first full length album “I’ve Been Waiting” was released in 2010 and drew comparisons to some of her idols like Stevie Nicks and Melissa Etheridge. Lauren’s songs have been featured on college and internet radio stations as well as many podcasts. She was also a feature artist for Alternative Addiction in 2010.
Lauren has performed at many prominent venues in the Boston area including Johnny D’s, Sally O’Brien’s, and The Middle East, as well as large music festivals like the Boston Pride Week and the Rainbow Riverfest in Holyoke, MA. She has traveled through the New England area performing in many bars and coffeehouses in New York, Connecticut, New Hampshire and Maine.
A firm believer in giving back, Lauren teaches private voice and guitar lessons out of her home studio. Some of Lauren’s students have gone on to record their own demos, audition for Broadway musicals and perform on live TV.

“Your rhythm playing is fantastic. You possess dynamics that most rhythm players do not have.” – Sean Gill, multi-platinum producer
“The songs are strong and the lyrics are accessible without becoming too obvious or cliché, which is an accomplishment on itself.” - Inner Ear Media
“…You (and your band) made an impression. Obviously you are an abundantly talented singer and songwriter, but you convey a sense of professionalism that is not always so apparent with some bands.” – Toby Piotrowski, Circa1920Group
